Steven Garofalo, M.A.A.

Steven Garofalo is the founder of Apologetics.Bible and the ReasonForTruth.Org ministry located in Charlotte, NC. Steven has put together Apologetics.Bible in effort to bring together a number of ministries that share the common vision of using apologetics in evangelism. (SEE PARTNERS TAB). Steven is a speaker, author and teacher on issues relating to Christian apologetics and theology. Steven received his Bachelors of Arts degree in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Government & Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD in 1988. He went on to earn a Masters in Apologetics with an emphasis in Islamic Studies from Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, NC in May of 2007. Steven was ordained by Christian Family Life Church (part of Christian Family Life ministries) in Charlotte, NC on May 18, 2011.

Steven authored the book "Right for You, But Not For Me-A Response To Moral Relativism" which was published in the fall of 2013 and "All Roads Don't Lead To Heaven, Discovering God In The New Age" in September of 2016. As a dynamic and engaging communicator Steven appeals to both the heart and mind. He has over 12 years of experience speaking, teaching, and working with churches and students-equipping hundreds of youth and adults at conferences and colleges across the country to defend and advance the Christian faith. Steven taught World Views (World Religions) and Bible Doctrine at the Institute of Biblical Studies at Southern Evangelical Seminary/Church from 2005-2006 and taught Youth University (high school students) at Calvary Church in Charlotte, NC for three and a half years.

Steven has been interviewed on radio and television-including Point of View with Kerby Anderson, the Faith & Liberty Talk Show with Dr. David Garrison, Powers to the People, Doug and Renee Show, Michael Dresser Show, and the Peggy Denny Show. He has appeared on Giving an Answer with Harold Felder on local Charlotte Cable television Channel 21 on the subjects of Ethics, Moral Relativism, Wicca and Witchcraft. Steven hosts the “Reason for Truth” Podcast which is released every Tuesday-attracting thousands of downloads every month. Other accomplishments include teaching S.H.A.P.E. Spiritual Giftedness Seminars at McLean Bible Church in the Washington D.C. area, Forest Hill Presbyterian and Charlotte South Fellowship churches in Charlotte, NC.

Steven is a first generation American who grew up in the Washington D.C. area where his father Mauro, who came from Sicily, worked for the Department of the Navy just blocks from the U.S. Capital. Steven relocated to Charlotte, NC in 1999. He is married with three children and currently lives in the Charlotte, NC area. Chaplain Paul Doyle, M.Div.

Paul Doyle is a Chaplain Board Certified by the Association of Clinical Pastoral Educators and Association of Professionals Chaplains, Ordained and Commissioned by Carmel Baptist Church, and an Endorsed Hospital Chaplain by the North American Mission Board of the SBC. He is currently serving as a Staff Chaplain at Carolinas HealthCare System, Carolinas Rehabilitation Hospitals in the Charlotte, North Carolina Region. Furthermore, he has served as a Clinical Chaplain for both Carolinas ContinueCare Hospital and Hospice and Palliative Care Charlotte Region PRN or as needed. Also, Paul began his service as a Chaplain with Corporate Chaplains of America 10 years ago.

As a Staff Chaplain in the Hospital Clinic, Paul serves in the Spiritual Care Department of the hospital, which provides emotional and spiritual support to patients, their loved ones and hospital staff members of diverse spiritual, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Paul assist patients, families and staff helping them process their sense of meaning, purpose or hope in their particular situation or overall life circumstances, grieving the death of a family member or any loss, including life transitions, conflict resolution within the family, assist patients in accessing their faith community, spiritual care provider or other spiritual or religious resources, provide Advance Directives education, ethics consultations, crisis intervention and confidential counseling for patients, families and hospital staff.

Paul was born and raised in Rochester, New York. In 1984, he joined the United States Marine Corps and spent most of his time in East Asia until his discharge in 1988. In 1998, the company he worked for transferred him and his family to Charlotte, North Carolina. He is married to his wife Junko and has with two children Yuji and Mika. Paul’s mission and vision as a Clinical Chaplain is to provide one-on-one confidential trauma and grief recovery through instant access online to support Veterans, their family members and family or caregivers. As a result, this can be a vital alternative in addition to what other resources are currently available to Veterans and their family members nationwide. Furthermore, having an Apologetics background allows me to not only stay grounded in faith and objective truth, but to be able to provide an answer to the questions that others of different views and faiths may have.



Paul received his Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations with a concentration in Asian Studies from the University of Minnesota in 1992. In 2008, Paul his Masters in Divinity with a focus on Biblical Studies from Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, NC. In 2008, Paul started his Hospital Chaplaincy Internship at Carolinas Medical Center, Charlotte and later his Chaplain Residency at CMC-Main a Level 1 Trauma Center. IN 2013, once Paul completed his required hours of Clinical Pastoral Education, he later passed the Boards and received his Board Certification.

Paul continues his Annual Chaplaincy training to maintain his Certification and expands knowledge of care, which includes the following:

Paul regularly is involved with coordinating following community groups:

Mediating Inpatient Support Groups for patients and their family members.

Supporting the both the Inpatient and Outpatient Rehab Occupational and Physical Therapy staff by participating in either their monthly Stroke Survivor Group or Parkinson’s Groups.

Leading Non-Denominational Worship Services at 3 separate facilities each Sunday.

Participate in Community Educational Forums on addressing End of Life preparation and Advance Medical Directives (i.e. Health Care Power of Attorney, Living Will and Mental Health Treatment).
